Do I need temperature controlled storage?

Many of our customers want to store furniture, photographs, business records, inventory or other similar items.  A non-temperature-controlled unit is usually fine for anything that would be safely stored in a garage environment.  But if you prefer to store your items in an environment that is more like your home or office instead of the garage, consider a temperature-controlled unit.  In addition to reducing temperature variations, temperature controlled units are typically much less dusty as all of the units are inside of a building as opposed to having a door which opens directly to the outside.  In other words, temperature controlled units are interior access units while non-temperature units are exterior access.

Many customers get one temperature controlled unit for some of their things and a non-temperature unit for less sensitive things such as patio furniture, lawnmowers, bar-b-que grilles, tools and other items.

As a reminder,  temperature control is not a substitute for an atmospherically controlled environment.  There is always going to be some variation in temperature-- just like your house is warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter.   In other words, climate control does not mean that the temperature will always be 72 degrees with 50% humidity.  Instead, the temperature will vary with the season.   In the summer, when it is 100 degrees outside, the temperature controlled units might get up to 80 degrees or so. And, in the winter, when it is 30 degrees outside, it might get to 60 or 65 degrees or so inside the temperature controlled units. So, don't store your Van Gogh paintings---store them with an art museum or art storage warehouse!!
